Straumann Group - Digitalization, entrepreneurship and sustainability to unlock the potential of people’s lives.

Not everyone is born with perfect teeth – in fact, very few people are. And everyone is subject to a lifetime of reckoning with dental diseases – which can affect overall health as well as taking a toll on your confidence. Improving oral health, therefore, is right at the heart of unlocking the potential of people’s lives. By fostering a unique business culture, where employees are encouraged to be entrepreneurial and seize opportunities, Straumann Group is carving out a highly successful business path. The Group emphasizes psychological safety, meaning that anyone should feel able to speak up if needed..

A wide range of possibilities

Straumann Group is a Swiss-headquartered company with a global footprint, providing dental implants, clear aligners and associated products and services.Straumann Group estimates that 30 billion teeth are missing worldwide, and that 500 million people could benefit from clear aligners. These unmet needs present a large potential for improving oral health. Straumann Group has long been a leading innovator in this field. As different brands have joined the Group, enriching its offer, innovation remains the basis of the Group’s success, both in implantology and orthodontics. This puts the Group in a strong position to deliver on the potential of the digital transformation of dentistry. The Group calls itself customer-obsessed  - with its innovation is driven by improving both the dentist’s and patient’s experience.

Ten million smiles a year.

By bringing together products, software, as well as artificial intelligence, the Group develops smart solutions that offer seamless workflows for dentists and help reduce “time to teeth.” The goal is to positively impact ten million smiles a year by the beginning of the next decade. Such long-lasting improvement in well-being is Straumann Group’s goal.

Customers know what they want.

With information being more and more widely accessible, patients are emancipating themselves. They inform themselves about dental options, make their own decisions, and are thus increasingly becoming “health consumers” instead of patients. They communicate directly with their dentists and ultimately take a more active role in shaping their own treatment. For the dental industry, the digital transition is changing practice management, speeding up diagnoses, and ultimately shaping the treatment procedures themselves.

A framework for sustainability.

Based on interviews with more than 80 internal and external stakeholders, Straumann Group has set firm targets for the future. By 2024, all electricity used at manufacturing sites should be 100% from renewable sources. The Group has also committed to ensure an even male/female balance of management positions between by 2026. Sustainability, quite simply, is part of Straumann Group’s business strategy.
